I began tutoring in high school as a volunteer and began to love it after seeing the joy on a student's face after they finally got the hang of a concept. I attended college at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where I studied biomedical engineering. I continued tutoring throughout my time at RIT while working towards my Bachelor of Science.
My favorite subjects to tutor are math, science and writing. Math and science come second nature to me and I enjoy seeing the creativity that goes into writing.
I think that it is possible for any student to reach their academic goals with persistence, commitment and repetition. I believe that with positive reinforcement and a focus on making material more relatable for the student a one-on-one tutoring session can be as comfortable and effective as classroom learning.
Outside of tutoring I enjoy listening to music, writing music, attended plays and musicals and exploring the world around me.
