I am a recent graduate of Cornell University with a major in Math and a minor in philosophy. I tutor SAT and ACT as well as most math and science subjects. I have worked with students of all ages from elementary school to adults returning to college. I find that the most important part of successful tutoring is making sure that the student understands why to solve a problem a certain way, rather than trying to memorize the steps. If you know how to think about a problem, you can solve it.
