Certified Tutor

I am a senior student of Political Science and Business at Texas A&M University, with the intention of pursuing a degree in Law from Georgetown. I have tutored a variety of subjects since 11th grade, when I met every week with a group of my classmates to improve their SAT critical reading scores. Since then, I have taught TESOL courses in Rwanda, elementary level history and geography at the Brazos Valley Boys and Girls Club, edited countless papers, and helped students achieve their potential in many other subjects. I get a great deal of joy from teaching anything to do with writing or debate: I firmly believe that critical thinking and effective self expression are the most fundamental skills for a person to develop. That said, SAT/ACT Reading is still my favorite subject to tutor. Standardized tests are an entirely winnable game, and I love helping students learn to approach the reading section with the right mindset and dramatically improve their score. Outside of my academic life, I love finding concerts (esp. Ska and Americana!), reading about my world, and backpacking with friends.
