I am graduate of Brandeis University and received my Bachelors Degree in Philosophy in 2015. During a gap year before college, I spent six months teaching Math and Physics in Kaimosi, Kenya, and more recently spent 3 months teaching Mathematics in a NYC Middle School. While I loved and learned a lot from both of these experiences, I've found that I'm most effective as an instructor and tutor in smaller groups or 1-on-1, as opposed to the classroom. While I have mainly taught and tutored Math, I also have a strong passion for the liberal arts, primarily English, History, and Philosophy. I am a strong advocate for education at all levels and believe that it is absolutely vital for society to flourish. Regardless of the subject I am tutoring, I always work to develop critical thinking skills over rote memorization, and I am frequently impressed with the clever strategies students can develop when given the chance. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (primarily fiction), playing soccer, and writing songs on guitar and piano.
