I am a medical doctor and I truly enjoy teaching, nothing delights me more than seeing a light bulb go off in someone's head after I have taught them something. I believe that having a thorough grasp of a concept can be achieved by any one for any subject given enough practice and time. I am very adaptive to other's learning styles whether they are visual learners, readers, or auditory learners. I am very perceptive to mastering standardized tests in particular, having scored consistently high scores on the SAT in addition to the MCAT. I have tutored my classmates, friends, and family members in various topics including critical reading skills, logic, psychology, calculus, biochemistry, and general chemistry throughout my own schooling. I have also taken an authoritative role in forming study groups and am very efficient at building concept maps, flashcards, venn diagrams, and other organized study tools for others. For the MCAT, I have encountered the new 2016 version as a student myself and therefore am able to better understand the struggles students like me may face as they undertake the journey to this very important test. I am aware of all new MCAT resources that exist and can help the students allocate their time to each resource appropriately to get the most efficient results from their studying. I understand that the test requires a strong knowledge base as well as the ability to apply this information to novel situations, and I truly believe I can pass this on to anyone I tutor. As a psychology major I consider myself an expert on the psychology section and my premed curriculum has built me a solid knowledge base for the rest of the sections. I am a very caring person and very good at diagnosing people's strengths and reinforcing them as well as helping them overcome their weaknesses. I am very patient and willing to go over a concept or theory a countless number of times, with my ultimate goal being the academic progression and satisfaction of the student. I truly believe the MCAT and SAT are conquerable tests.
