I received Bachelor's of Art degrees from Ithaca College in Politics and Philosophy/Religion. I received a Master's degree from Temple University in Political Science. For the past five years I have been teaching a variety of courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences at Temple, including American Politics, Political Theory and Philosophy, Politics of Identity, Race and Gender Studies, Research Methods and Statistics.
During this time I have worked with hundreds of students from every conceivable background to ensure that their educational experience is the best it can be. I also worked closely with students to improve their writing in both form and content. I worked with a summer bridge program that prepares high school juniors and seniors for their transition to college.
I also worked as a special assignment mentor to provide scholastic support for middle school students. I am extremely passionate about education and I always try to pass that passion on to my students. In order to do so, I practice what I consider to be a reciprocal and empathetic pedagogy. This begins with the acknowledgment that all students are different, all students have their own interests that should be taken seriously, and all students possess a wealth of knowledge and experience that can be drawn upon in order to allow each student to fully develop his or her own capacities. I love working with students in all fields, but I am most passionate about the Humanities and Social Sciences, Politics, Philosophy, History, English and, odd as it may sound, Statistics. In my spare time, I enjoy reading all types of books, film, music, sports, cooking, and eating good food.
