Certified Tutor

I have been tutoring, teaching and working as a TA since I was in the 10th grade. Nearly a decade later, I have experience working with students age 8 to 45, mostly in Science, Math and Spanish. In undergrad as a Nutrition major at UNC Chapel Hill, I took took elective courses in Spanish and Biology, along with the Chemistry minor that I was required to complete. My Math background comes from attending a rigorous Science and Math boarding school, the North Carolina School of Science and Math(NCSSM) where I completed 5 courses of college-level mathematics. In graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill and in my professional work, I have found a niche as an editor for written and data-heavy projects, which is a role I thoroughly enjoy. My favorite students to work with are the ones who are interested in learning the material, but need some extra time outside of class to wrap their head around concepts, or just need a different take on the subject than their teacher provided them in class.
