The student completed her review assignment over unit circle and solving trigonometric functions. We discussed patterns in the unit circle and how to use reference angles to solve more complex trigonometric problems.

I first reviewed the 20 new vocabulary words the student will write sentences for next session. Then I discussed with the her previous 20 words and sentences and made the necessary corrections with grammar and correct usage of the words. Then I explained the writing assignment for next week on emotional writing. We read two examples of how to write an emotional appeal emphasizing key uses of diction appealing to a reader's emotions. Lastly, we were able to review one page of grammar on tense from the grammar book I use.

I met with the student today at 4:30-6 p.m. He had a science project to complete, a worksheet (science), and a writing assignment. We discussed his progress thus far, and he said mid-term grades are being sent home. He feels pretty good about his grades. I reviewed/edited the writing assignment along with him. He already had it typed and just has to make the corrections.

Today we worked on Riemann sums. The student did not struggle with the material and his attitude was positive throughout the session. I included strategies to simplify the material.
