During my last semester of college, I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas while also volunteering for the United Way of Southern Nevada, Nate Mack Elementary School, and Woodbury Middle School. My mother has taught in Clark County for 15 years and my sister is currently studying industrial engineering in Rochester, New York. I have assisted my mother's students with all subjects, mostly focusing on math and science. My teaching philosophy: by bringing real-life examples into learning, one can develop a true meaning, interest, and application of any desired subject. From experience, I find students recall concepts more easily when linked to personal interests or situations. Math and science can be fun when given the chance!
