Some details about me: I have just recently graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and am currently waiting to start my Ph.D. program in Physics; I would like to become a professor one day in potentially any subject; and meeting new people is one of my favorite things to do! In college, I worked part-time as a Supplemental Instruction Leader, mastering facilitation, leadership, and social skills to help with the development of study habits and time management for students taking a course on Differential Equations & Laplace Transforms in which I was the only SI Leader for that course and had to help over 650 students. During the 2016-2017 academic year, I was also a Community Adviser, developing a community of about 50 residents, facilitating discussions of appreciating and understanding human differences and diversity, overseeing residents grow in leadership roles, leading an academic initiative program, and undertaking administrative tasks in a residential community. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Binghamton University in New York, where I majored in mathematics. I am currently in my final semester at Hunter College where I will receive a Master's degree and NYS certification in Adolescent Mathematics Education. In addition, I am certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and taught at an international English school in Westchester County. I am also an accomplished pastry chef with an interest in low sugar baking. I am excited and inspired by learning and continue to be a student of pastry, music, Spanish, Italian, Latin dancing, and cooking.My strength as a tutor lies in my ability to analyze a student's data and use it to craft a personalized study plan. I have successfully tutored 2 National Merit Finalists for the PSAT and SAT and have seen score increases as high as sixty percent. Additionally, I have taught elementary gifted and talented and helped prepare high school students for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT while serving as the Advanced Academic Coordinator. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we create breakthrough moments that help us both become better teachers and learners.. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I am a recent graduate of Rutgers School of Law. I went to law school not with the intention of becoming a lawyer, but instead to gain the tools necessary to become a more effective advocate and teacher. I believe that the best form of advocacy is through education, specifically teaching.

I graduated from Harry S. Truman high school in 2015. I am currently studying Chemistry at the University at Buffalo, where I am planning to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry. I am fairly experienced working with grade school and high school students in their math and science classes.When I was in those grades, I would assist the teacher by tutoring their students who are struggling in the class, whether that's just help with their homework or and extensive review of the material we learned in class. I also helped many of my peers prepare for the New York Regents exams. I helped them prepare for the Chemistry, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Algebra Regents. These along with basic math and science concepts are my favorite to help students because these are the subjects I excel at. These subjects interest me the most and I hope to use these subjects in my future field of work.I can teach in many ways and will always adjust my style to fit the students needs. I do tend to teach in way that allows the student to learn their own process of thinking while using me a resource if they are having trouble. I like to do this by facilitating the student through practice problems without giving any real answers. This allows the student to understand the material as well as build their confidence to tackle a problem all on their own.Outside of school, I like to do many to unwind such as go for a run or some form of exercise. I enjoy drawing, reading, and even video games. I always like to learn about new hobbies to keep me from ever being bored.
