From there, I went to Drexel University to write and defend my dissertation in mathematics, which was about two unsolved problems in linear algebra. While in Johns Hopkins and Drexel University, I ended up teaching a lot of math and a bit of science not only as a tutor, but also as a teaching assistant and as a primary instructor. Since then, I've been working as a mathematician; I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Free University of Brussels for one year, and then as a research scientist at the Air Force Research Lab in Dayton, Ohio for two years. It's been a rewarding career, but I have missed teaching. When it comes to teaching, I try my best to take a flexible approach and meet students where they are. I am a big believer in the power of intuition and curiosity, so I try to teach in a way that nurtures both.
