Hello! I am currently an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University in the College of Arts and Science, studying psychology and pre-med. My dream is to eventually become a psychiatrist.In high school, I attended a rigorous IB program, played saxophone in the marching band and challenged myself to take both physics and biology higher level (HL). After much hard work and dedication, I graduated with a 3.8GPA with honors.While I have fallen in love with music, origami, and duct tape over the years, my first love has always been learning! I pride myself on my strong quantitative skills and am comfortable teaching a wide variety of math subjects, as well as biology and SAT and ACT prep. I hope to pass on the knowledge I have acquired to help you succeed!

I am a graduate of Hunter College where I received my Master's of Science in Education with a focus on adolescent education and Students with Disabilities. I have been teaching for over 6 years in Manhattan, NY. While I teach middle school math, I am certified and have also taught middle school science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. I have tutored several of my former students in Algebra I, Living Environment, and Biology, each of which went on to pass their Regents exams. I have experience also working with younger students, as I have taught both 3rd and 1st grade classes. My goal is to help my students find the joy in learning as they discover their strengthsand develop the areas they struggle in. In my spare time I love running, working out, reading, watching sports (basketball & football), and cooking.

I recently graduated from Ohio University where I studied political science (pre-law track) and received my certificate in social media. I hope to work in the media field in the future, then possibly achieve my MBA and go onto receive my Juris Doctorate in Business Law. When I can, I squeeze in an early morning work out. I took this job as a way to make some supplemental income to pay off student loan debts and work towards my future degrees. I will have my Portuguese Water Dog puppy Bruno (who is 4 months old) who I would like to train as a therapy dog to assist me within job as he has outstanding patience for those who do not have the confidence in themselves to go above and beyond in the classroom when it comes to academia.I look forward to helping your child succeed in any way possible!

I really enjoy helping students learn and understand the material in their own away as well as developing study strategies that work for them. I obtained my Bachelors degree in Anthropology with a minor in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. I transferred from the University of Southern California which provided a great study ethic and amazing laboratory resources. I am currently attending the University of Texas at Houston Medical School's graduate program for Genetic Counseling.My tutor experience includes 4 years teaching low-income students age K-7th grade and a year creating interactive activities for a STEM camp (Science,Technology,Engineering, Math). I have also tutored my mother in college Algebra after she went back to school two years ago. I absolutely love math but my favorite subject to tutor is chemistry. Science is such a great subject filled with opportunities to explore and understand our world better- chemistry is one of the fundamentals.Learning is an adventure, an art that can never be taken away. When tutoring, I try to relate the information back to the student and make it an adventure.In my spare time, I love to run, perfect yoga poses, listen to poetry and watch netflix.I look forward to exploring this wonderful world of science and/or math with your child.

Hello, I am a student teacher at Stockton University in New Jersey. I major in Environmental Science and have a minor in Childhood Studies. I work in multiple elementary/middle schools throughout each week and enjoy teaching both science and math.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley where I focused on ecology and evolutionary biology. As an undergraduate, I had the chance to serve in two teaching positions on campus. In the first course, I assisted graduate students and professors to guide a class through core level biology. The second was a hands-on affair, in which I led students through the preparation of animal specimens for preservation in a museum. Through my experiences, I have discovered that the best way to learn and teach a subject is to tackle it with a variety of approaches. For example, students intimidated by the technical jargon of math often find problems easier to understand when symbols are replaced with words. Through such strategies, I aim to make dense material more communicable and relatable and to provide students with the confidence to accept new challenges. I am most excited to discuss ecology, evolution, and math, but I am also able to tutor subjects such as physics, writing, and standardized testing. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, practicing martial arts, and hiking.
