Having been involved in the education field for five years now, I have come to truly appreciate the impact educators can have on our youth. Being witness to and a part of such great change on an individual basis continues to inspire me to inspire others. I have loved literature all my life for having the ability to transport a reader into a world where imagination is not limited to a television screen. I have loved non-fiction for having the ability to open up our world as it was, as it is and as it could. I have loved writing, in all its forms, in more recent years for having the ability to communicate thoughts, information and creativity. It is my goal to help all my students see what great powers reading and writing have and to allow them to apply their reading and writing skills to everyday, "real world" situations. I believe that my passion for my subject matter and my ability to make reading and writing accessible and applicable to life will help students of all ages and levels see the value in furthering their reading and writing skills.

Through additional experience in one-on-one instruction, such as Homebound Instruction and private tutoring work in both French and English, I have grown to treasure the degree of individual attention, immediate feedback, and flexibility of approach that tutoring offers. I love incorporating students' interests into exercises and examples, and I specialize in developing mnemonics, songs, and other tricks to help students remember new or challenging information. As a former elementary school SLP, she loves working with kids on their Spanish language skills and has experience and knowledge to pass on to those studying for their SLP Praxis Exam. As a recent graduate (2018) and graduate assistant at West Chester University, she has experience tutoring at the college level as well (preparing students for the Praxis Core). She enjoys going for walks with her little one and spending time with her extended family.
