Recent Tutoring Session Reviews

The student and I reviewed material for his test the following day. Material included projectile motion and circular motion. The student asked great directed questions, which made for a very fruitful review session. We worked some of the more difficult problems dealing with position, velocity, and acceleration in vector form.

Last night we went through geometric distribution and binomial distribution. We talked about the distribution functions and cumulative distribution functions for both distributions. We also went over how to use calculator to calculate probability. The student was very quick at grasping the concepts and were able to use the distribution functions to solve those problems.

The student and I reviewed a couple of questions from his Calculus 2 homework involving exponential growth and decay models. Then, we reviewed a chemistry question about the average atomic mass of elements with several isotopes. Finally, we reviewed a few physics questions involving projectile motion, and one problem involving centripetal acceleration.
