Today I helped the student with his grammar homework. I was pleased to learn that he did well on his book report and hope that in the future he will keep gaining skills to write excellent book reports and academic papers on his own. With the review of grammar today we went over direct and indirect objects, clarifying sentences, tenses as well as the difference between too and to. I had brought some grammar worksheets for him to complete that we went over when we finished his homework.

We went over the definitions of the two, and I showed the student a trick. If you can remove the phrase and what's left doesn't make a complete sentence anymore, it's the predicate, not an adjective phrase. Then we worked on another essay and the student's final presentation.
