I am a doctoral candidate in Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, currently residing in the Orlando area. My research concerns improving educational outcomes, school reform, and accountability policies.
I have a strong background in tutoring, particularly in test preparation. I have a Florida Teaching Certification and taught for three years at Winter Springs High School where I specialized in English, Debate, Writing, and SAT/ACT Prep. Additionally, I have worked for some of the most highly ranked tutoring companies in the country. While guarantees are impossible, I have a history of helping students significantly raise their test scores.
In addition to testing, my academic experience as both a student and teacher have helped me develop strong writing and public speaking skills. I enjoy helping students gain those same skills.
I have experience and enjoy working with all levels of students. I tend not to focus on a lot of introductory or "test-prep" material. Instead, I use actual test questions to do hands-on work with students. I'm highly efficient and specialize in working with students who need to learn quickly. I use practice problems to introduce many different strategies and concepts, such that students have a wide skill-set at their disposal.
I am young, engaged, and I try to have fun with my students. I look forward to working with you.
