About Me

I strive to engage all learners based on their unique learning style and ability level. Overall, I have an individualized approach to teaching and tutoring that gets results by building on the foundation of knowledge that each student possesses. I focus on each student's strengths and I mold my teaching to work on the difficulties/struggles that arise. The key to overcoming any obstacle is patience, drive, and hard work. At the end of the day, seeing a smile on a student's face when they realize that they are learning and have grasped a concept makes everybody's hard work worth it. Currently I am a General Studies College Instructor and Career Services Advisor and I have experience in teaching pre-k, kindergarten, and 5th grade. I have worked with special needs students and molded my teaching to their specific needs and abilities. My education background consists of a Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Reading and Math Education from Walden University. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I look forward to meeting you!
