I have taught first- and second-semester French to Boston University undergraduate students. I was the instructor of record for the class, and my students referred to me as either "Monsieur," or, inaccurately, "Professor." For two summers, I tutored Reading Comprehension. What makes me a great tutor is my passion for student success and my love for the subjects I want to teach. The diversity of my students has taught me to adopt a new persona to fit each particular student. Zany playfulness is often the best for younger students, a certain amount of sarcastic humor can help engage some disaffected older students, etc.
