I am a 2019 graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. Currently, I am an optometry student at SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan, NY. In my previous roles of statistics tutor and anatomy teaching assistant at Marquette, I enjoyed being both a mentor and friend to my students. Each day was a learning experience for me as much as it was for them, and I felt as though my impact extended far beyond the classroom. This is paralleled in how I intend to utilize my training to play the role of not only a healthcare provider to my future patients, but an educator. I find it immensely important to inform patients of the medicine and technology that can be adapted towards their visual impairments.

I am a student at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, majoring in French and minoring in English. Upon completing my bachelors degree, I intend to pursue a masters degree in French-English translation. I have a passion for languages and the crucial role they play in our world, and I am endlessly looking for more opportunities to learn. I am inspired to tutor because I value education as one of the greatest opportunities a person can be given, and I love seeing the ideas and ambitions of language students. My favorite subject to tutor is French, as the language is incredibly dear to my heart. The French language has so much history and rich culture, and it is easy to be inspired by its beauty. In my spare hours I enjoy immersing myself in the worlds of literature, exploring the real world around me, and creating art, food, and poetry.

I have helped many students achieve excellent grades in math by focusing on what really matters: building confidence and a clear understanding of concepts. My teaching style is simple I make sure students fully understand the basics, then guide them step by step to solve problems on their own. I encourage lots of practice and always take time to clear doubts, so that no student feels left behind. Math doesn't have to be scary with the right approach, it becomes logical and even enjoyable! My aim is to make every student feel confident, independent, and capable of solving problems successfully.

I have been helping kids with chemistry, on Varsity platform. i have also help kids prepare for the NYC tests. I am a graduate in Organic Chemistry from Delhi University, India. I have taught for almost 11 years in a public school. The best part about teaching is to explore new ideas with young minds. I have been helping kids understand science in an interactive way. While I mostly enjoy helping kids with Chemistry, I also help younger kids with Mathematics. I believe tutoring is always a two way process, wherein the teachers learn from their students. The thing I like most about teaching is my students. I love interacting with them, helping them understand the content of the course. In the time left after tutoring, I enjoy doing yoga, reading or taking a stroll in nature.

My specialty is standardized test prep, but I tutor academic subjects as well. I have taken 11 AP classes and exams over the course of high school as well as 3 SAT subject tests. I received a 36 on the ACT and 1550 on the SAT. I love working with kids; I volunteer at my church in childcare, teach swim lessons, and babysit. Additional interests I have include music and soccer; I play the clarinet, saxophone, and piano. I love learning and I am excited to help others learn!
