About Me

After I stopped playing college basketball, I joined the math department at SUNY Potsdam. I received my BA and MA in math, as well as my BA in computer science. The passion my professors displayed opened my eyes to my desire to become a mathematician. This, my eagerness to evolve, and the inner joy I receive from helping others when I can, led to me being passionate about educating. I am now in the final year of my PhD program in the UConn statistics department. On top of the math tutoring experience I obtained from SUNY Potsdam, I have gained further experience tutoring at UConn, on top of being the primary instructor and teaching assistant for several undergraduate statistics courses. I also tutor math and statistics for the student athlete program here at UConn. I enjoy working with my students and allowing them to dictate our sessions. I share my iPad screen so we can work through problems and visualize the process. Otherwise, I find it difficult to follow math/stat logic. Furthermore, I share the file after class so that students can reference the notes later and do not have to rush to write everything down during the session.
