I am a graduate of Fisher College in Boston. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After taking some time off for family, I have returned to school and am currently working on completing a master's degree in Educational Psychology. I taught preschool for approximately two years in New York state. During this time, I learned how to Zoom and use Google Classroom to create lessons and work with students. Using these programs has helped me learn how to work with students online in an effective manner. I have spent the last year substitute teaching in various subjects from preschool through 8th grade. Substituting through so many grade levels has given me the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience from varying perspectives. While I truly enjoy working with several age groups, I really enjoy working with preschool and elementary age students. I am confidant in most subjects, especially English. I have chosen teaching and tutoring because I enjoy helping people, especially children. Helping a student understand and learn the material is very satisfying. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors- kayaking and biking are the activities I enjoy most. I also like to read and play with my pets.
