About Me

Greetings! I am Mrs. Konya Watkins. I teach fourth-grade English and Language Arts. I have taught for 16 years and have been an ESOL-certified teacher since 2018. I have two years of experience teaching ELLs (English Language Learners) and classroom experience in the following grades: Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades/All Subjects. In 2007, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in K-5 Early Childhood Education, and in 2010, I earned my Master's in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. In December 2014, I graduated with my Specialist degree from Liberty University. In addition, I am well known for my ability to help my students find their strengths and voice, so they love learning and exemplify the extraordinary traits we know everyone has. I deeply desire to connect with my students and their families by providing the resources the students need to learn and grow. I work diligently to help improve my students' futures by spending time with each student and building relationships that will push them to become their best. I look forward to working with you and your child!
