About Me

I have always had a passion for reading and writing ever since I was a little kid. I would play teacher and help my sister with her work. Who know those games would ultimately lead me to my career in teaching. I am a current 7 and 8th grade ELA intervention teacher. Prior to that, I taught writing to 5th graders for a year. Additionally, I was a Fulbright Scholar that taught English classes for students ranging from fourth grade to college level. I have a vast experience in reading and critical thinking practices. Moreover, I currently teach phonics and have worked at Lindamood Bell Learning processes as a clinician with a focus on phonics and comprehension. Reading has helped me become the person I am today and I hope to help spread the love for it to all my students.
