About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Georgia. I received two Bachelor of Arts: one in Spanish Language and Literature and the other in Linguistics. Since graduation, I have been teaching as an Honors/Gifted Teacher at the highest-ranked, public high school in the state of Georgia: The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. Over my years here, I have had the opportunity to teach Spanish I, II, III, and IV. At the same time, I also earned my Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in World Language Education and ESOL through the University of Georgia. I am certified to teach Spanish as well as English to Speakers of Other Languages. I also have many years of experience tutoring a wide range of subjects, such as test preparation (ACT and SAT), College Essay Writing, English, ESOL, Spanish (all levels: 1-5, AP Spanish Language and Literature, College-Level Spanish, Adult learners, etc.), and lower-level mathematics. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Spanish, English, and ESOL. I believe that education should be our biggest priority, with language education being one of the most crucial. I work hard to develop interesting and engaging lessons for all of my students. I enjoy bringing humor and anecdote to my lessons, as well, as I see these as vital tools to lower the anxiety that learning can bring.
