About Me

I love seeing students "get it" and realize they are smarter than they thought. My experience has been as a college math and graduate Greek and Hebrew tutor. I currently teach communication and speech at the undergraduate level. My BA in communication is from the University of West Georgia. My MS in communication is from Florida International University. My M.Div. is from Cordon Conwell Theological Seminary. I have two master's degrees and a bachelor's degree. I also completed a three-week course (the New Jersey Writing Project) that trained me teach creative writing. I am a published author. I tutor creative and essay writing, public speaking and math. I enjoy tutoring all of these subjects. My teaching and tutoring style requires me to understand the student's needs and then to teach with a lot encouragement. I am also a captain in the Army and have delivered countless speeches as a chaplain.
