I have been volunteering and working in the field of education for about 16 years now. I have a genuine love for learning and passion for teaching! I graduated from Florida State University with my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Special Education. I am also a certified teacher in Florida and Pennsylvania. I spent 6 years working in a Special Needs school as a job coach, substitute teacher and both an elementary and secondary classroom teacher. I have also taught ESL online for the past 4 years and have my TESOL Certification. My goal when teaching or learning is always to have fun. I try to come up with exciting and engaging ways to motivate students and keep their attention. I include music, games, videos and movement in my lessons whenever possible! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside, exercising, cooking, dancing and listening to music.

Most of my time is spent with my three young children and we love to go outside. Together we enjoy hikes, swimming, nature scavenger hunts and I walk while they ride their bikes. I like to garden and plant flowers and also enjoy drawing and art. I love to listen to music and dance and enjoy being creative with 'DIY' projects and crafts.
