I am a current student at the University of Louisville working towards my Bachelor's degree (majoring in Biology with a minor in Sociology). My hopes are to progress beyond that to medical school. Teaching is one of my greatest passions! As a student growing up, I've always struggled with wanting to be the best while not knowing how to handle the pressures that schooling sometimes brings for children. By the time I reached my teens, I learned how to change one of my greatest struggles into one of my greatest assets. Helping students of all ages understand difficult concepts so that they gain a new level of confidence in not only themselves, but in their academic abilities helped foster a love for teaching and learning within myself. As a tutor, I find myself trying to push my students to reach their maximum capacity while allowing them to find that potential in a loving and safe environment. My greatest hope is to allow the chance for my students to learn without the fear that some classroom environments can bring. I tutor a large variety of subjects, but my personal favorites revolve around Math and Science. During my free time, you often will find me somewhere outdoors! I love to garden or go on adventurous outings. When I am not outdoors gardening, river rafting, hiking, or swimming, I enjoy making the most of my time volunteering or working on various arts and crafts projects. I like to think of myself as an adventurous spirit, and an old soul at heart.
