About Me

I am a graduate of Emory University and Relay Graduate School of Education. During my time at Emory, I studied psychology and dance. I also taught numerous students within and outside of my coursework obligations across various disciplines, e.g. English/Shakespeare, dance, etc.. This unraveled a passion for teaching, which led me to pursue a masters in teaching at Relay Graduate School of Education with a particular focus on learning behaviorism (disabilities).For the last 4 years, I have had the honor to professionally teach PHENOMENAL students in Chicago, Illinois. Many of those students are those who happen to have a disability (or disabilities) and who have helped me to fall in love with teaching as a craft. I enjoy collaborating with students to conjure their full potential and to reconfigure how they go about learning. I humbly believe that learning can be both rigorous and fun. I strive to achieve the latter by curating personalized lesson plans as much as I can for students. I enjoy teaching English, Writing and Math for different reasons. I love to read and write, so the ability to share in that love with students is something I find to be extremely rewarding, especially when students are disinterested (and sometimes afraid) of them. As for math, it can be one of the most exciting languages to learn and to play with once the concepts "click". Overall, I really enjoy teaching and look forward to working with amazing new students!
