About Me

I am a graduate of Georgia State University where I received my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Shortly thereafter, I received my Education Specialist Degree in Early Childhood from Walden University. I have been an elementary teacher for 17 years and I enjoy working with students to achieve academic goals while making learning fun. I believe that all students are capable of learning and should be afforded the opportunity to do so in their unique learning style and at their own pace. With positive support and guidance, every child can meet expectations and achieve. I am passionate about educating students and helping them to realize their potential. I have spent most of my teaching years working with students who require additional support in reading and math while successfully helping them to close the gap and perform at or above grade level expectations. I also have strengths with beginning readers ensuring that they have a strong phonetic background to facilitate reading. I am very driven, results oriented and would enjoy working with your child.
