About Me

I'm super excited to teach your child! I'm focused on connecting with him or her fulfilling their individual needs. I have 2 children, ages 11 and 8. I have volunteered in their classrooms for the past 5 years. I have read children's storybooks to the class and helped the kids with arts and crafts and projects. I love it and I'm happiest with kids! I feel a sense of accomplishment when I see the light in their eyes and make them happy. I love to color, draw, read poetry, and even learn about the weather patterns! I would love to teach students these various topics, but best of all, I enjoy tutoring English. I love teaching elementary school topics and seeing children progress when they're very young. It provides a sense of accomplishment. As a child, I used to use my favorite reading books to trace their covers such as The Berenstain Bears. I started in elementary school as early as age 8, and still enjoy drawing very much. For the past year, I have been teaching Language Arts, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Writing online and I would love to continue teaching it on Varsity Tutors. In middle school, I loved learning about America's states and capitals. At a young age, I also have written poetry just for fun. I would love to show children their hidden talents through writing and expressing their thoughts. Great teachers are patient, friendly, challenging, and make sure the kids are having fun! I love working with kids and watching them grow as students! As a parent, I strive to do what is best for my children. I hope to do the same for yours and look forward to working with you!
