Dear Prospective Students and Parents,I have been a teacher -- a professional educator -- at the college/university level for more than 30 years. I have a B.A. in English and political science from St. Norbert College (De Pere, WI), an M.A. in English (concentration: Rhetoric and Composition) from Loyola University Chicago, an M.Ed. in educational psychology (concentration: developmental education) from Loyola University Chicago, and Ph.D. in Quantitative Foundations of Education (concentration: educational psychology) from the University of Iowa. However, I am also effective in working with "kiddos," those in elementary and middle school. (Please see my profile for specific subjects for tutoring sessions.)I have long been recognized by colleagues and students alike as a "master teacher." In fact, I have been trained to teach pre-service and in-service teachers how to teach such subjects as English Language Arts and Writing. I look forward to meeting and working with you [or your child(ren)] in a manner that allows my students to develop and strengthen the abilities and knowledge I know they already possess. Indeed, I want to challenge and support them along their individual educational pathway.
