About Me

I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with my BachelorsDegree in Early Childhood Education, and went on to receive my MastersDegree in Special Education in 2012. While expanding my teachingexpertise with a focus on inclusion, many opportunities have allowedme to engage in working with multi- aged children from varyingbackgrounds and abilities. My certifications and experience includeP5th, as well as Special Education General Curriculum K12 and MiddleGrades Language Arts. I am fully prepared to exercise my talents andaptitudes in any and all of these areas. Dynamic participation in providing a uniquely tailored, qualityeducation to meet the needs of every student is my ambition. I alwaysdeliver, and have even developed a multifaceted curriculum with mystudents' varied learning styles and motivations, a primaryconsideration when planning individualized learning experiences. It is myaspiration to groom my students with the tools that they will need notonly to learn, but to also think deeply and critically to problemsolve. One of my strongest beliefs developed along with my teachingexperience after my formal education, is that my responsibility as ateacher is to present literacy to our students in varied approaches topromote a love for reading. Empowering students to take part in theprocess of choosing their favorite books and discussing story elementscreates a positive association with literacy at any age. Teaching isso much more than the challenge to me; It is and will be my students'venue to a better life. It is my greatest desire toteach and inspire students to reach their fullest potential.
