About Me

I am certified in the state of Texas and New York. My favorite subject to teach is reading. I have even taught children in pull ups how to read! Reading for me is a vehicle that can change and enrich your life, even helping you to become a better person learning about the world around you. For young children reading and writing is like learning how to ride a bicycle. In the beginning it can be a bit mechanical, but once the senses are engaged along with the imagination reading can become alive! It is my desire to help every student that I teach feel confident in his/her abilities to read/write/ and speak the English language. I enjoy helping people succeed and will do everything in my power to help you achieve your goals. Learning is fun and meant to be a lifelong journey. I feel privileged to help you along the way. I am also skilled in many software learning applications at all learning levels including early childhood reading readiness. In addition I have a membership to RazKids which is a leveled reading program that offers colorful books of various genres that are matched to student's reading levels. I use the texts to teach comprehension and word skills. The program also has built in comprehension activities to help the reader grow.
