Hello! My name is Katie. I have many years of classroom experience. I also have a year experience of teaching English as a Second Language students online. I provide feedback to my students' parents after each lesson. I have previous experiences as a basketball coach, a camp counselor, I've been a nanny, and I've also been a tutor for many children. I believe that everyone has an innate desire and capability to learn. When teaching my students I enjoy using digital props, visuals, and whiteboards when I teach. I also enjoy finding different teaching strategies when teaching my different students. I incorporate positive reinforcement both verbally and with visual (digital) rewards as students progress through their tutoring sessions. Both internal and external motivators can help students to learn! Each child is different and therefore learns differently. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.
