I am a highly motivated, PhD physics student with a very strong background in mathematics and physics. I have plenty of experience as a tutor, helping students at both the high school and university level. As a tutor, I try to not only instruct students how to do the problem that they are struggling with but to also make sure that they understand why such a procedure works. As a student, I did not always find new concepts easy to understand and I therefore empathise with struggling students, coaching them with a patient, probing approach until we are both satisfied that we have reached our goal. My mathematics and physics background has provided me plenty of experience with problem solving, so that I can often understand concepts from multiple viewpoints. By passing this knowledge on to any prospective tutees, they will most certainly sharpen their problem solving abilities while simultaneously obtain the tools necessary to improve their test scores.
