About Me

Every student should have the opportunity to feel successful. As a tutor and teacher, I work to help students be active, rather than passive, learners. I believe that my job isn't only to teach students academic content, but also to help them develop skills to set goals and gain autonomy over their own education. When working in schools, collaboration with colleagues is central to my practice; when tutoring, this means being open to feedback from my students and their families so we can work together to best support the student's growth. This allows me to become self-reflective about my own practice, and match my tutoring style so it best meets the needs of each unique student.
