My Bachelor's degree is in Broadcast Journalism and my Master's degree is in Education. For the past 8 years, I have worked as a Special Education Teacher for students in grades K-6. I am passionate about education because I believe that education is the passport to the future, but the future will belong to those who prepare for it today. I believe that by helping students develop their Reading, Writing, and Math skills, I am equipping them today with the tools they'll need to be successful in the future. I know that everyday, I have the privilege and responsibility of developing the minds of the future leaders, and problem solvers of the world. I tutor students in Phonics, Reading Comprehension, Writing and Math. My teaching style is fun, yet firm. I am personable, but professional. I love watching my students' confidence grow as they reach their goals. When I'm not working with students I love eating at local restaurants, listening/singing music, and binging on Netflix movies.
