I began teaching in Special Education, which I believe makes me an excellent candidate for tutoring for many reasons. First, I am able to differentiate my lessons and other lessons for all abilities. Differentiation is essential and it proves that teachers are in tune with the individual students and can adapt any lesson to meet every child's needs. As a special education teacher, I was also able to create and implement incentive systems which served as a motivator for students, especially when the lessons increase in difficulty. Another reason I would love to tutor is because I can devise engaging activities with multi-sensory lessons so children of all abilities are able to be successful, challenged, and engaged.
