I have several years' experience as an independent math and test prep tutor, working with students at a variety of levels and ages, including adults. For math students, I work to engender a real understanding of the underlying concepts, rather than just memorization. Under test pressure you may forget what you memorize, but you won't forget what you understand. I have an advanced degree in Computer Sciences, and am currently finishing a master's degree in Community Counseling.

I love having adventures! I have traveled all over the world with my husband, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, lived in Switzerland, and performed with an Austin aerial dance troupe. Closer to home, I enjoy community theatre, karaoke, cooking, handicrafts, reading, and playing games.
