About Me

As a Biochemistry and English double major who graduated from Hillsdale College, I am well-versed in a number of subjects and would love to tutor you in mathematics or science or help you to become more proficient as a reader and writer in the humanities. I love exploring and adventures, and I believe that some of the best exploring can happen in the world right around you. All of creation is filled with such wonder! Oftentimes, your subject matter at school is filled with fascinating aspects that you have yet to uncover; my tutoring style reflects that notion--I will guide you to a place where you then will have all of the tools to take the next step forward, but I will not do that for you. You must be willing to work, but I am very happy and capable to assist you along the way. I recently finished my first year of teaching sixth grade at a charter school which seeks to furnish "willing students" with a "rigorous education in the humanities, sciences, and the arts with such instruction in the virtues as will best develop the mind and character of its pupils," and I will seek to do the same here at Varsity Tutors.
