I have a Bachelors degree from Chicago State University and my Masters of Mathematical Teaching from Illinois Institute of Technology. I have taught math in grades 6-12. The subjects I have experience teaching are middle school mathematics, Pre- Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 Trigonometry, and Pre- Calculus. I presently teach High School Geometry. I enjoy teaching mathematics because it was the one subject I could always explain how to do to anyone. I have been tutoring for about 10 years. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to get to know many different students from many different walks of life. I feel that tutoring has helped me to grow as a teacher. I get to see what is going on in the classroom from a different point of view. I work hard to make sure my tutor students achieve success. I want them to leave confident that they can succeed in mathematics. I have tutored a number of students for many years and it was a delight to see them change into mature young adults.
