About Me

I'm a lifelong learner and love helping others learn! I've often been complimented on my communication skills and problem-solving creativity, which I use in finding the best way to help each student I tutor to grasp material and retain it, as enjoyably as possible. Learning should be fun! Sometimes that can take some encouragement for a student who is struggling, and encouragement is another one of my gifts which I delight to employ. As far as experience, I have worked as a tutor for four years, back when I was in college. I've also done some training in the business arena. Since I was a teenager, I have worked with children in various capacities including teaching Sunday School. In spite of a fun personality (and being told I look much younger than my 40-some years) I am also skilled at keeping students on track and focused in order to make the most productive use of our time. Relevant skills and attributes include being easy to work with, reliable, friendly, patient and kind. I genuinely care about the individual learners I have the privilege to work with and persevere until we see the level of success the learner wants to reach, celebrating the signs of progress along the way!
