About Me

Hello, to give you a very brief glimpse of myself, I will start by telling you that I am a native Spanish speaker, I learned and began mastering English at the age of 6 years old, I began studying French in High School, lived in France for a year over my junior in College which formed an amazing foundation for my majoring in French, besides languages and literature, I am lover of math, science and business. I do have a masters in business which I received from Columbia Business School in New York City. My experience and skills go beyond what I may be able to express here and do hope to have the opportunity to work with as many students as possible. I am originally from the Caribbean and grew up in New York. I have been in Saint Louis for over 10 years now and have more than 20 years working in the Financial Services industry. I have a life-long love for teaching and learning. The pleasure I gain from teaching and helping students create excellent study habits and mastery of the subjects I teach or tutor, goes beyond words. I have an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School in New York City. As such, I have taken introductory and intermediate level statistics, calculus I and II, pre Algebra, Algebra I, Elementary and HS level geometry, undergraduate and graduate level accounting courses as well as Finance. I have also tutored in all of these courses to elementary, HS, college and graduate students. I am a native Spanish speaker. I have taken level I, II, and III level grammar, reading, speaking and literature courses during college. In addition, I have over 15 years of tutoring Spanish (all areas from speech, grammar, writing and literature) to students as young as 5 to 60 years old. I have significant experience teaching English to non-English speakers as well as helping students prepare for TOEFL testing. I am currently working on gaining my Certification in ESL and TOEFL.
