I have recently graduated with a Graduation Highest Honors award from University of California, Merced with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology. I hope to pursue my education in a healthcare-related field. Besides maintaining my academic excellence, I also worked in a research laboratory for one and a half years where I developed my passion for science and improved my interpersonal skills. Throughout my college years, I have enjoyed helping my peers in understanding study materials and approaching problems. As a result, I learned how to be engaging and supportive. Moreover, knowing that my contribution helps the others learn the material is very rewarding, and it motivates me to continue helping others. Although I am a science major, I enjoy math as well. It may look daunting, but it is doable. Sometimes it takes time to break down the problems into simpler parts, but it feels great once the solution is acquired. In my spare time, I enjoy being active; I like to play sports and exercise. I also enjoy practicing my guitar and piano skills. I believe that students have the potential to accomplish amazing things. My task as a tutor is to patiently guide and engage them so that they can improve and stay in the right track. Meaningful practice makes perfect, and students' engagement makes practice meaningful. I look forward to working with students and make their learning experience enjoyable.
