About Me

I have experience working with a diverse range of students and can adapt to the needs of each unique learner. I aim to provide one-on-one individualized lessons for each client. For the last year, I have been working as a teaching assistant to an honors faculty member at Arizona State University (ASU). As a teaching assistant, I prepare class materials, perform lectures, grade written assignments of at least 120 students per semester, and individually tutor undergraduate students in overcoming academic difficulties. My goal is to instill a passion of lifelong learning and to teach critical thinking to every one of my students as I believe these are driving factors in students' success both personally and professionally. I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Masters in Social Work and am working on a Masters in Public Administration at ASU. These programs have sharpened my study skills, essay writing, reading comprehension, public speaking and critical thinking abilities. In turn, I am able to tutor students in developing these important skills. While in school, I also worked as a Constituent Services Coordinator for Congresswoman Sinema which required me to develop excellent organizational and time-management skills that I am excited to pass on to my students! I have been trained in direct behavioral health assessment and treatment, as well as in communication studies, developing and presenting curriculum, public budgeting, human resource management, program evaluation, policy analysis, advocacy and much more! My diverse academic and employment history has afforded me the opportunity to work with individuals from all ages and skill levels. I look forward to providing quality tutoring to learners on a full range of subjects including test preparation, and am happy to accommodate my clients by having a very flexible schedule!
