Joe
- I am a current PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Boston University.
About Me
I moved to Boston in 2013 to pursue research with the Belfer Institute at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute after graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in French from Allegheny College. Outside of my PhD work, I am an avid skier, runner, traveler and beach goer. My experience as a teacher spans from my responsibilities as a graduate teaching fellow in Instructional Biology at Boston University and my role as a research mentor of undergraduate students. I firmly believe that an effective tutor should be passionate, engaging and patient, as well as cognizant of the individual learning style of their student. As a strong visual learner myself, I appreciate the importance of tailoring individual lessons to complement a student's strengths. I am excited to work with you to achieve your academic goals!
