About Me

I taught high school English in New Jersey for eight years. I am a highly qualified teacher and licensed in NJ for English grades 6-12. I received a BA in English from Douglass College at Rutgers University, and my Masters in Education is from Rutgers, Graduate School of Education. I have taught grades 9-12, but I primarily taught 11th grade, British Literature. I also taught 11th AP Language & Composition, and 11th & 12th grade honors English. In addition to teaching, I have been tutoring for nine years. I have extensive experience and success with preparing students of all abilities for standardized test assessments. Outside of high school I have been an adjunct instructor, taught summer school, a girls high school tennis coach, a girls basketball coach and a student advisor. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, walking, running, playing tennis and spending time with my family and dog.
