About Me

I'm a graduate of Macalester College, class of 2008, with BAs in Japanese and linguistics. While languages and language itself are my first love, I enjoy working in a variety of other subjects as well. As a student and a teacher, I prefer working from the fundamentals to memorizing facts; I feel that understanding how and why something works is a more interesting and effective method, and helps nurture critical thinking, an essential life skill. I look forward to helping students work towards reaching their full potential. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
