I am a recent magna cum laude graduate of Duke University and a full-time educator in North Carolina. I have a passion for helping young people figure things out and have experience writing professionally.

I am currently a student at Duke University studying Biomedical Engineering and Economics. Just a little bit about me and some of my interests. Some of my favorite academic interests include memoirs and modern classics. I think Catcher in the Rye is still one of my all time favorite books but Percy Jackson, a modern classic, is up there too. Beyond academics, I take great guilty pleasure in watching TV shows such as Westworld, Sherlock, How I Met Your Mother, and even The Bachelorette when I'm at a low point.

I am currently doing research on personalized therapies for glioblastoma brain tumors at the Duke Medical Center, before I continue on to medical school. I love to swim, walk my pug dog, and hang out with family and friends in my free time. I hope I can help you in your studies. I look forward to working with you!

I am a freshman at Duke University in the Pratt School of Engineering. I plan on majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering, as well as Economics. While I am qualified to tutor a range of subjects from math and science to ACT prep, I get the most excited when working on improving a student's writing because it is such a beautiful process. Sparking students' curiosity and excitement is the most rewarding part of tutoring, and I make it my mission to achieve that with all students I work with. In my free time, I am involved in a variety of groups on campus such as the triathlon club, FEMMES (a female-oriented STEM tutoring club), and The Chronicle, which is Duke's student newspaper. I also enjoy reading, running and baking all sorts of delicious delicacies.

I am an avid rower and bicyclist. I also greatly enjoy growing vegetables and playing basketball.

I am a Marshall Scholar and will begin graduate studies at the University of Cambridge in the fall.

I'm graduating from medical school at Duke University this summer and finally have quite a bit of flexible time to tutor, something I really enjoyed doing all throughout college.

I am a rising junior at Duke University. I hail from Cleveland, Ohio (Go Cavs!), and I'm currently studying medical sociology, with the intent of going to medical school.

I am a graduate of Duke University (class of 2017), where I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies with a minor in Economics. I am also a graduate of Yale University (class of 2019), where I received my Master of Arts in Religious Studies with a focus on ancient history. Since graduation, I have worked in the computer software space and as a tutor for over 6 years (both in person and virtually). I have tutoring experience with all grade levels, including undergraduates, in subjects ranging from english and essay writing to ACT/SAT test prep. I love working with students of all ages and personalizing my teaching style to create the most positive and productive learning environment.

I am a current student at Duke University School of Medicine pursuing my MHS degree in Physician Assistant studies. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care with which I practiced as a Respiratory Therapist with focus in Adult critical Care. I have several certifications and I am a certified clinical simulations instructor. While I tutor a broad range of courses, I am passionate about Algebra, biology, anatomy & physiology, Medical terminology, medicine, ACLS, BLS,NRP, Respiratory board exams prep and pharmacology.

I am passionate about helping secondary and post-secondary students to read texts carefully, to make arguments cogently, and to tell a story about themselves, the world around them, and the things that are important in their lives. I believe that the humanities really do help us be more human with each other and in our world. I teach and tutor with the assumption that school is a set of practices that anyone can learn and that, when they engage those practices diligently, students gain empathy and critical thinking skills that are transferable to all of their endeavors.
