I'm a recent graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where I studied Mathematics and Philosophy. At Colby, I worked as a tutor for both the Mathematics Department and the Writing Center, so I have experience working with a wide range of subjects. I enjoy tutoring math more than any other subject, mainly because that's what I've specialized in over the past few years. However, I also had a fantastic time working at my college's writing center, so I have no problems tutoring essay writing or SAT writing. In my spare time I like to go hiking and running, and I also enjoy watching and talking about movies, TV shows, and pop culture in general. I ultimately plan on going to graduate school for a PhD in Mathematics.

I am an MD/MBA student at WashU School of Medicine. I am finishing up my last year of medical school and wanted to use my free time to do something that I love, which is teaching students. I have tutored since I was in high school and love the challenge of helping students understand and master their course material. As the second oldest of six kids, I have spent most of my life helping siblings with homework and adapting to different academic comfort levels. I am passionate about education and math has always been my favorite subject. I believe that learning should be fun and that there are many ways to learn the same thing, it is all about finding what works for you! I have seen too many people think that math is not for them, but I thoroughly believe it can be accessible for everyone with the right help and understanding. I am a graduate of Florida State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with a Minor in Business. I have always had a passion for math, as lame as that may sound. My mom has been a teacher for most of my life, so if I wasn't at school or on the lacrosse field, I was usually in her classroom tutoring students. My favorite subjects to tutor are definitely pre-algebra and algebra because I had amazing teachers who taught those subjects to me. I firmly believe the right teacher/tutor can make any subject enjoyable to learn and I hope that I can be that tutor. In my spare time, I love watching football, hiking, and playing tennis (even though I am terrible at it).

I have lived in New York City for my entire life and int hat time have gone to school on the upper west side for both elementary and middle school and attended Bard High School Early College II for high school, where I accumulated 48 college credits during my time there. I studied ballet for eleven years at the School of American Ballet and in my free time play tennis and like to play bridge. I am always looking to help students and my piers learn more and use my love of learning to help others whenever I can.
